It was discussed intensely with little debate but an executive order was to issued that Dave Murray cook all the chickens in the freezer for the Holiday party in December.
Tom Nelson reported his research and findings regarding trap replacement concerns, the pat trap representative that he talked to stated that a trap machine in Florida has over 7 million birds released. He also found detailed maintenance schedule and instructions. So it is recommended not to replace the trap machines at this time.
He also found a wireless trap system upgrade available thru Canterbury Metro Gun Club in the twin cities for $2,495.00 per trap station with an extra controller for $95.00. Tom also a guy in Portage named Brian Pruce for $2,395.00 per system plus install cost.
After a lengthy discussion Ken Myer moved to authorize $6000.00 to purchase 2 wireless systems for install in April 2017, the motion was seconded by Rick Sabatke and passed on a voice vote.
President Tom Downs brought up for discussion if we wanted to maintain the club house thru the winter. Much discussion was had with consideration with access, sporting events and the potential for a winter pistol league. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to warm up the building if it is needed. The major concern was heating cost. It was determined to not stock the coolers for winter or keep the building overly warm. The water situation will be investigated whether we need to turn that off with the attic being sprayed with insulation.
