The 625th meeting of the Hope Rod and Gun Club was called to order at 7:05 PM by President Tom Downs. There were 53 members present.
Secretaries Report: Secretary Miller read the February 6, 2017 (624th) meeting minutes, hearing no additions or corrections, they were approved as read.
New Members: The following new members were approved Carol Rebholz, Adam Griggel, Matt Underwood, David Stevenson, Matt Ryan, James Royea, Randy Vike, Steve Ritzer, William & Sheryl Rickerman, Tyler Sandmire and Joe Malkasian.
Members Director: Membership Director Russ Jenkins reported that as to the date of this meeting 211 members have paid their 2017 dues and 85 unpaid members.
Building and Grounds: President Downs reported that once the weather cooperates the bunker work on the rifle range will continue. April 8th is Gun Club clean up morning starting at 8am. Nelson and Schneider are going to make boards out of the cherry wood that is cut down.
Trap League: Trap shooters can now pay shooting Fees online. First night of trap will be May 2. More information will be sent out to shooters as needed.
Hunting and Fishing: Fishing is at a standstill currently until the waters warm up. Warmer first waters can be found in the inlets and back waters, like Cherokee Marsh, natigals and the Yahara River Channel. Members can sign up for the Spring Turkey contest at the April meeting for $5.00
Raffle: Vice President Mark Hanson reported the club and youth clay busters raffle will be ready to go in April, they are looking at bigger and wider range of prizes along with guns. Any members that want to donate a prize valued over $100.00 please contact Mark.
March Dinner: Report will be in April.
Old Business: Reminder that the Justice For A Cure will be holding the “Shoot The Hell out of Cancer on April 22.
Tom Nelson will be working on the wireless trap system to get the system installed.
Ron Sam be holding a Hunter Safety class the last week of March, he still has vacancies if you have someone that wants to attend.
New Business: President Downs stated that at the April meeting we will be holding elections for the Sgt. of Arms vacancy. Nominations from the floor will be accepted.
He also informed the membership that the by-laws committee has been working diligently on the rewrite.

50/50 Winner: Sarah Ladwig won the 50/50 and donated back to the Spartan Clay Busters.
NEXT MEETING: April 3rd at the American Legion Post on Burma RD.
