The 612th meeting of the Hope Rod and Gun Club was called to order at 7:02 PM by President Tom Downs. There were 52 members present.
Secretaries Report: Secretary Miller read the January 4th (611th) meeting minutes, hearing no additions or corrections, they were approved as read.
New Members: Kevin Wichman and Hung Nguyen were voted into the club as new member
Members Director: Membership Director Jenkins reports 120 members have paid their 2016 membership with 95 of those being pistol included membership. Eight candidates from the list for membership were contacted for membership consideration. Jenkins also stated that the Board of Directors had passed a temporary measure till May of 2016 to exceed the 300 membership capacity for trap league members who must pay all membership and trap fees up front.
Russ reminded members that 2016 Membership Dues can be paid any time now, but must be paid by the March Business meeting. The mailing address for the club is PO BOX 142,

Trap League: Doug Job and Mike Mandt presented the new signup sheets for trap league that state the order of team members are listed is the shooting order no exceptions. They will be contacting all team captains per President Downs to inform them of the updated Trap Team sign up updates and the need to have phone and email contact information on the form.
Hunting and Fishing:
Russ reports nice walleye, Gills and perch on Mendota North shore. Waubesa is producing walleyes and Crappies and pike by the Spring’s and Kegonsa some Walleye are being caught. No contest entries for Bow and Gun deer and pheasant entered by the February meeting.
The youth scholastic trap team final payment for $1,125 was explained by President Downs of the $10,056.00 total profit and total tickets sold of 15,195 was factored by both group’s sales and a cost of prizes for an agreed 20% equalization for a total youth split of $1,875.00. Paul Vind moved and Brian Fisher seconded the allocation of final payment to the youth of 1,125.00, motion carried on a voice vote.
February 10th at the Library will be an information presentation on youth scholastic clay shooters at 7:00 p.m.
Butch Richmond moved and Doug Job seconded that the club sponsor 4 members to attend the Range Safety Officer training, in return those individuals commit to a day a month to open the rifle range 1 day a week, the motion carried on a voice vote.
Hunter safety in March on Tuesday and Thursday nights (3/1 and 3/3, 3/8 and 3/10) and field day will be March 12th. Ron Sam was holding spots until the February meeting for members. You will need a DNR number and a date of birth to register, $10.00 registration fee, to contact Ron at email@example.com
Butch Richmond moved and Robin Hellrood seconded that the club host the Annual Dinner March 7th, motion carried.
